About

My work has always been guided by a simple belief: to support others well, I must also take responsibility for my own wellbeing. I don’t believe in perfection or having it “all figured out,” but I do believe in showing up with honesty, care, and respect.

Dicentra Wellness reflects that philosophy — a space grounded in compassion, transparency, and genuine human connection. I aim to support people in ways that feel sustainable, practical, and kind, recognising that everyone’s journey looks different.

Dicentra: Unconditional Positive Regard

The Dicentra flower — often called the bleeding heart — symbolises compassion, empathy, and care. I choose to step away from romanticised meanings and instead focus on what it represents in practice: offering support without judgement, expectation, or conditions attached.

For me, Dicentra is about holding people with respect, curiosity, and hope — meeting you where you are, without needing you to be different first.

Why put your trust in me?

I have worked in mental health and trauma-informed spaces for over eight years, supporting people across a wide range of experiences including trauma, neurodivergence, disability, mental health challenges, and periods of significant overwhelm.

My professional journey began in client-centred care, where I discovered how meaningful it is to truly listen. This led me into youth work, where I continue to support young people navigating complex lives and building futures aligned with their own values and goals.

Alongside this work, I have completed a Diploma of Counselling Skills and am currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching. My approach is integrative and practical — supporting people to understand themselves, reduce overwhelm, and build systems that genuinely work for their lives.

My approach

I work from a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming perspective and am particularly passionate about supporting late-diagnosed adults navigating identity shifts, burnout, and the unlearning of long-term masking.

Through both my professional work and my own family experiences, I’ve seen how profoundly a late ADHD diagnosis can impact daily life, relationships, and self-trust. This perspective allows me to approach my work with deep understanding, patience, and respect.

My goal is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you build clarity, supportive systems, and a way forward that feels sustainable and genuinely yours.

The person behind the name

I share my life with my fiancé — who I met through gaming — and our three cats, who keep things entertaining and unpredictable.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy strength training, yoga, and movement that feels grounding rather than punishing. I’m a lifelong gamer, a creative at heart, and someone who values time outdoors, crafting, and small moments of joy.

My own journey with health and wellbeing has taught me that sustainable change comes from understanding, not restriction or pressure. That learning continues to shape how I support others — with patience, curiosity, and respect for the complexity of real life.
